Enzo Di Amario
Piano
Born in Naples, he was raised in a musical family. Enzo graduated from the Naples Music Conservatory with a piano degree and has since made a mark both in Italy and internationally. Enzo’s piano performances are dynamic yet nostalgic. With a versatile repertoire spanning Canzone, Jazz, Latin, and Pop, he is also recognized as a skilled arranger. In 2003, he appeared on NHK Educational TV’s “Italian Language Course.” In 2004, he served as a judge at the P.M.A04 International Piazzolla Music Competition held in Milan.
Alberto De Meis
Violin
Hailing from the Abruzzo region, Alberto started his journey with the violin under the guidance of Maestro Fabio Cammarota at the Music Academy in the capital city, L’Aquila, graduating in 1989. Immediately after graduation, he began his music career as a soloist with groups like the Barattelli Chamber Orchestra and the Abruzzo Symphonic Orchestra in L’Aquila. Alberto’s performances, crossing genres, uniquely carve out his world in classical music, skillfully blending in rhythmic pop elements with powerful yet delicate playing. His performances are energetic yet captivating, charming fans with his excellent communication skills.
Matteo Pindi
Singer
Originally from Siena, Italy, Matteo made a shift from being the drummer of a nationally renowned rock band in the ’80s to following in his father’s footsteps as a flutist. Inheriting his father’s talent, Matteo has become a successful singer and songwriter. He is highly regarded in the music community, contributing songs to several notable artists like Chris Willis, Kat De Luna, and Tommy Vee, as well as clenching the Top 7 spot on the Billboard charts in 2011. Currently based in Japan, Matteo showcases his vocal talents, specializing in Canzone and world music, at the Hakone Glass no Mori Museum.
Luis Sartor
Charango・Vocal
Born in the Argentine Republic to Italian parents, he holds Italian citizenship as well. In 1978, he came to Japan as a member of a tour with the maestro of quena flute, Antonio Pantoja. Later, he himself became a maestro, with the aim of spreading the charm of Latin music in Japan. A versatile maestro, Luis skillfully plays mandolin, charango, guitar, keyboard, and percussion. He has also demonstrated his diverse talents as a singer-songwriter. He contributed music to the soundtrack of the film “Inamura Jane,” directed by Keisuke Kuwata, and received a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Album in 1995 for the album “La Aventura” by Orquesta de la Luz. At the Hakone Glass no Mori Museum, he performs world music, featuring mainly Canzone and Latin music.
Raphael Scinia
Guitar
Born in Milan, Rafael is a flamenco electric guitarist, composer, and arranger. Drawn to the guitar from a young age, he engaged in various musical activities in Italy before embarking on a global musical journey at the age of 24. He has actively pursued his musical endeavors in Europe, the USA, Mexico, and Japan, where he currently resides. Passionate about diverse music genres, Rafael excels in flamenco and rock, drawing significant inspiration from masters like Paco De Lucia and Jeff Beck. In addition to collaborations with Italian artists, he has shared the stage with global icons such as Phil Collins and Little Stevens. Notably, he contributed to the soundtrack of the film “Nine Months” starring Hugh Grant.
Saiyinjiya
Morin Khuur Fiddle Player
Originally from Inner Mongolia, Sai Ongiya graduated from the Inner Mongolia Arts Institute before coming to Japan. In 2005, he starred in and served as the music director for the film “Suho’s White Horse,” which was designated as a Selected Works of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. In 2007, he played the morin khuur fiddle for the film “Genghis Khan: To the Ends of the Earth and Sea” and participated in on-location filming in Mongolia. In 2008, he performed the morin khuur fiddle at the Beijing Olympics and the Guinness World Record event. Saiyinjiya continuously expands his musical endeavors as a young artist, showcasing his talent on the popular TV Asahi program “Tetsuko’s Room” in March 2010 and demonstrating his abilities on NHK’s “El Mundo” and “Hot Asia” in 2012.
